SWIR Fun Run

On Saturday, October 24, we had the opportunity to attend a motorcycle "fun run" sponsored by Andy's work. The 1st Annual Southwest Industrial Rigging Fun Run was a blast! The first picture is one I took of Andy and I on our drive up to the yard in Phoenix. (I think it's the only picture of me from the whole day)

Once we got to the yard, (at 7:15 in the morning) the kids really enjoyed having doughnuts and cookies for breakfast. When we left the yard, the kids rode in the car with me, while Andy drove the 'support truck' for any motorcycles that encountered problems.

Several motorcycles did break down, but they were all at the very beginning of the ride. We enjoyed having a police escort that stopped traffic so we could stay together through all the traffic lights.

Here are just a few of the many motorcycles from the run. We ended up at a park in Wickenburg for the party/BBQ/raffle/auction. All of the proceeds from the day benefitted Phoenix Children's Hospital. (A fantastic hospital, by the way! We used to make weekly trips there for Declan during his first year - He had a DOC band, in addition to having consults with surgeons for other issues which miraculously corrected themselves, without requiring surgery after all)

Our handsome little Justin spent most of the day sleeping. And having everyone 'ooh' and 'aah' over him.

We attempted to get a picure of all four kids together and this was the best shot we got:

Jessica kept hiding behind her balloons, making it difficult to get a group photo. We dressed all the kids in red on purpose, so it would be easier to spot them running around at the party.

(In a sea of black biker leather, the red shirts really stood out.) :)

Here's Declan with Justin.

And here's Andy with Jessica. She seems to have a very messy face in a lot of recent pictures I've taken of her. :) I think this mess came from the cheetos she had with her hot dog at the BBQ.

There was a stretch Hummer limo that the kids had a great time checking out.

Here's Christian with the limo.

This truck was also a highlight of the day. It's name is 'Bounty Hunter' and it was pretty tricked out.

Again, trying to get a group photo with everyone looking at the camera is getting harder and harder to accomplish.

We are looking forward to the fun run next year!
