Party Time

It's midnight - do you know where the party is? In the family room, of course, as I attempt to get Jessica to sleep for longer than five minutes at a time. When she wants to stay up and party this is no easy task. Rocking her, feeding her, burping her, burping her again, singing to her, walking endless loops around the couch, trying the swing, walking her again. Holding her facing me, facing away from me, laying down in my arms, I even let her suck her thumb when she found it without pulling it away. Change her diaper again - just to be sure. This girl LOVES to stay up and party. Finally around 2 am the eyes drift downward and stay down for more than five minutes. Hallelujah! I stumble to bed, asleep before my head hits the pillow only to be awakened by Christian at 5 am, ready to get the morning party started so he can get ready to go to school.
