On Friday we had a very fun time surprising my mom (early) for her birthday, which is actually today. (If you are reading this, Happy Birthday Mom!) We had planned a trip to take our kids to visit with Grandma and Grandpa so my mom knew we were coming up to Utah, but not that all the other kids and grandkids and her own mother. We had a great time distracting her while everyone assembled at the Trellis cafe at Thanksgiving Point for a surprise birthday lunch. The restaurant was only open for our party, so the kids had a great time wandering around. We had our wonderful server take a group photo when we were done with our meal. The mission was a success - even after several close calls we were able to keep the secret and actually surprise her.

Hi Beautiful! I just wanted to stop in and say how wonderful it was to get to see you for the reunion. A weekend just never seems like enough time to catch up. Thank you so much for making some time for me! I know it gets super crazy with all the family in town. But I have SO missed you my dear cousin! Know that I think of you often and hope that you are doing well. Kiss those cute kiddos for me!
